It’s no secret that I love betaine salicylate, a type of BHA exfoliant that is gentler and more hydrating than salicylic acid—but just as effective! If you’re in the market for a new retinol, Verso Super Facial Serum is one of my top picks. Its star ingredient is “Retinol 8,” a.k.a. retinyl retinoate, a next-gen retinoic acid ester. It’s so potent that the 0.1% concentration is said to be equivalent to 0.8% retinol, minus the usual irritation. I used this through the winter and loved it!

Paula’s Choice Clinical 20% Niacinamide Vitamin B3 Concentrated Serum (20% Off)

I’m a huge fan of niacinamide because it has such a long list of skin benefits—and Paula’s Choice Clinical 20% Niacinamide Vitamin B3 Concentrated Serum has one of the highest concentrations, at 20%. If you’re dealing with large pores, bumpy skin or blotchiness, this is one of the best niacinamide serums to try. It’s also silicone-free, oil-free and fragrance-free.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion (40% Off)

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is the go-to spot treatment in so many celebrity skincare routines. This iconic acne-fighter dries up surface blemishes overnight with the magical combination of calamine, salicylic acid, sulfur and zinc oxide.

Avène Thermal Spring Water is one of my go-to face mists and a French pharmacy staple.
